STEM-MASTERING
Modern music production - especially pop and EDM - has taken a step away from traditional and linear mixing conditions of the well-built studio. Good tunes are born on producers' laptops, on the road, during co-write sessions in writing camps, in bedrooms, living-rooms…
It is also a common trend for producers to mix their own productions instead of hiring a third party mixing engineer, so the song may never pass through ideal listening conditions and a fresh set of ears during its production.
This development of production methods has further emphasized the importance of mastering - the last check and processing in reliable listening conditions by a skilled professional is highly valued for a reason.
Sometimes, however, the problems arising from varying mixing conditions only emerge during the mastering phase, or perhaps final balances in the mix simply benefit from a fresh view.
STEM MASTERING combines mix-polishing and mastering into a single flexible service that adapts to support a modern producer in varying productions.
When your mix is mastered from stems, we can positively affect the result from deeper within - all the way to the finishing line.
